Prevention programming

While COVID-19 has presented tremendous challenges, we are still able to provide evidence-based prevention services using online platforms, or in-person with adherence to CDC, State, and local health department guidelines.

Prevention programming

August 2020 - Youngstown UMADAOP is a grant recipient of SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnerships for Success funding to prevent the onset and reduce the progression of substance misuse in youth and young adults and to strengthen prevention capacity and infrastructure at the community and state level has been approved for funding. The project target area is Youngstown, Ohio.

August 2020 - Youngstown UMADAOP is a grant recipient of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (Ohio MHAS) State Opioid Response funding to implement activities with an aim to reduce health disparities relative to the number of African-American and Hispanic/Latino Americans who might have a Substance Use Disorder.

August 2020 - Youngstown UMADAOP is a grant recipient of Stop Act funding from SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) to prevent and reduce alcohol use among youth and young adults, ages 12-20 in Youngstown, Ohio.
